Shri. Rahul Vishwanath Karad is a young visionary educationist and is currently heading the MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, Pune as its Managing Trustee and Executive President. The Group has for universities with 72 institutes, and over 65,000 students under its fold and a legacy of near4 decades in quality education from from K.G to P.G. He is a graduate in Engineering, has a post-graduate in Management from Cardiff, U.K. and is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School, U.S.A. With a fearless passion and deep-rooted patriotic content in his heart he has initiated a number of platforms which have made deep impact on the society.
He Founded the MIT School of Government in 2005 – the 1st of its kind School in India and Asia to train Youth to make a career in Politics & Government. In 2011, he established India’s Largest Classroom, the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (Indian Students’ Parliament) which channelizes the power of youth with a strong beliefthat a strong polity is required to be led from the front by young professional and ethical leaders.
He founded the National Teachers’ Congress in 2016, a platform for teachers of Higher Education from across the nation and Indian origin teachers from abroad to strengthen the education system of our nation and to build a pool of inspired and committed teaching fraternity by facilitating the exchange and dissemination of ideas.
Recently he held the Bharatiya Santsahitya Uchha Shikshan Parishad, where he deliberated on the need to include the teachings ofGreat Indian Saints in Higher Education Curriculum in order to spiritually elevate the students along with academic elevation. He is also the founder of many other unique pioneering initiatives such as the National Women’s Parliament aimed at Women Empowerment and Rashtriya Sapanch Sansad for Inspiring and Training grass roots leadership and thereby Strengthening Rural India. The bureaucracy is the back bone of the administrative setup of this country and acts as a bridge between the Government and People.
Keeping this in mind, he started National Level Felicitation Program of qualifiers of UPSC Civil Services Exam in order to kindle the flame of ethical administration and has felicitated over 1000 such inspired civil servants who are today serving the nation in different capacities nationally and globally. Shri. Rahul Karad is also the Founder of Bharat Asmita National Awards, Arya Chankya Rajya Puraskar and Rashtradharmapujak Dadarao Karad Awards aimed at recognizing and appreciating outstanding contributors from different fields in the Service to the Nation at rural as well as national level.
He is also the Chairman of the Committee on Knowledge (Skill & Education) of Indian Merchants’ Chamber. He also served as Advisor of the Selection Committee ofthe National Youth Award, Ministry ofYouth Affairs, and Government ofIndia. He holds a firm conviction in channelizing the power of youth to augment their active participation in our pluralistic democracy and is highly vocal about willing and meaningful participation of the youth in public service for the cause of healthy democracy and good governance.
