This is a pivotal moment for higher education in India, and both the need and the opportunity to
advance quality, consistency, and scale are great. CITE will be an invaluable contributor to this effort. I
am pleased to offer my support and assistance to the consortium in my honorary capacity and engage
with my colleagues in India and the US who share a passion for accessible, high-quality higher education.

CITE is a broad, inclusive platform where real issues can be targeted with concrete effect,
complementing existing efforts where available and forging new ones where needed. CITE will connect
institutions, within India first and then internationally, to meet a global context that requires
cooperation and a shared sense of urgency for addressing the challenges we face together.

 I am confident that CITE can lead the way to improved quality of education, excellence in research, and a
